Transportation

Paris enjoys an excellent urban transport network. The parisian Metro consists of 300 stations on 16 lines covering the 10x10km area of central Paris. These are complemented by 5 express train lines (RER) connecting Paris city centre to surrounding suburbs, in particular to the airports; these can also be used to shorten a trip from one end of the city to another. A few dozen bus lines complete the urban transportation system; in recent years, bus corridors have been created across most of the town, making buses (much) faster.
